Rundies

On Saturday the Boyfriend set up a initial training session for us with one of the Personal Trainers in his building. First, let me back up for a second.

I have only once had a personal trainer in my time, and that was two years ago when I was training for the LA Marathon and I wanted to PR so badly I could taste it. Though not my first marathon, the LA Marathon was so painful, I didn't even want to talk about it. Let's just say it all stemmed from my malfunctioning watch. I didn't trust my training and strength and let ended up defeating my own self.

It had nothing to do with the personal trainer. He was excellent. In fact, I finished the marathon with plenty of energy left, feeling like I could have given so much more effort. (email me if you want his info, he's on the Westside, Los Angeles) However, at that, I just left feeling like I needed to work more on losing a few pounds and getting mentally strong in order to PR. I knew what I needed to do. Now, I just needed to do it.

Needless to say, 3 years later, I still have yet to PR from my first marathon. Though I am not running any marathons soon, or really running that much, I am nursing a slight knee injury, I still want to feel strong and maybe lose those inevitable last 5 pounds.

So with a Yoga retreat coming up next week in Costa Rica (my first time for both, yey!), the bf and I decided we needed to amp up the workout a little more. Enter the personal trainer.

The intro session was great and literally kicked my ass. We start working with him on a regular basis after Thanksgiving/ the Yoga retreat. But I am hoping for nothing less than a butt that looks good running in these!

And for the first time in a long time, I feel it's totally achievable, and right around the corner. So much for the holiday pounds. It's going to be a weight-loss/ tone-up kinda Christmas Holiday.

Would you run in these? What if you knew you looked good? Or is it only for the marathon elites?
