My 30 before 30 list

It's taken about a month since my 29th birthday and to get my list of things I'd like to accomplish before I turn 30. But with no further ado, here it is (in no particular order):

  1. get a dog
  2. learn calligraphy
  3.  read more
  4. lose 10 lbs (and keep it off)
  5. PR in a race
  6. learn to knit
  7. take voice lessons
  8. get my 2nd tattoo
  9. freelance a job that is fun to design
  10. get new portfolio up
  11. learn to basic html/css
  12. minimize the "stuff" in my life (aka clutter)
  13. bake more
  14. make Julia Child's Beef Bourguignon
  15. journal regularly
  16. take more pictures
  17. draw/paint more
  18. make some jewelry
  19. strength train 2-3 times a week
  20. do more yoga
  21. buy less stuff
  22. travel somewhere I have not been
  23. do something nice anonymously
  24. surf
  25. charity work
  26. buy something from Lululemon (I know this is contradictory to number 21, but don't care)
  27. write more handwritten notes
  28. be more calm and patient
  29. mediate more
  30. wake up and watch the sunrise with someone I love

I realized it had been a while since I posted, and my good friend Lauren and I are going to get tattoos tonight after work. I will share pictures next week. Which made me realize I had this list of 30 before 30 that I never posted. So, with this post, number 8 is nearly scratched off the list :)

Reunion weekend

I am heading home to Palm Springs for a huge family reunion, (yes, people actually are FROM Palm Springs). We even have cousins flying in from Australia to attend. It's going to be an interesting weekend to say the least. I heard part of this little ditty on a Kate Spade promo and it reminded me of going away for the weekend. I will make it my anthem.

Travel with a Cote

traveling. i sure do miss it. growing up is great, but a full time job and bills, not so much. i think i must have taken my first backpacking trip with my mom when I was 12? And yup, you guessed it, she made me wear my own backpack. And yep, it was pretty much bigger than me. And I loved it.

so when i saw these images/illustrations from the Cote D'Azur, you guessed it, i quit, and got on a plane pronto.

ok. well, not really. but you wouldn't blame me. would you?

and of course illustrator Catherine Orchard is coming with...
